Grim, a young boy, gets up with his alarm and prepares to leave, looking back on his room and remarking "Someday."
Grim and his two schoolmates lament the arcade closing. One, Pal, remarks that an old abandoned house surrounded by rumors might be their next playground.
Grim pauses, but he and Pal agree that they don't believe the rumors, while Friend shudders. Pal and Friend mock Grim until he turns away, walking into the darkness. "They're wrong," he says.
THWUMP! Grim, a young boy, dusts himself off in the light from an open basement window.
The window is too high to leave that way. The basement is cluttered, too much for a house that's supposed to be empty. Upstairs, there are no sounds of people, no lights on, and an awful smell.
Lights out, weird notes, old dishes, and trash. As he's getting some fresh air outside a car pulls up. Terrified, he locks the back door and hides. A note reads, "I've been waiting for you, Grim."
The shadow of a man, teeth bared in an unsettling smile, looms over Grim. The front door is unlocked. "Let me in."
